Well, hi, guys! Take two minutes to watch this to understand what Google Wave actually is. You also can use official introduction but it eats much more time (over an hour. Though it's highly recomended for geeks as I am).
After you're done inquiring about the matter, know that I'm already on Wave and can offer you invitations (I should be able to provide about 10 invitations immediately and more after my account is aproved for extra). Why do we need it?
As a guild that still plans to be a suppa succes we need to share
- strategies
- requests (on items, comsumables, matts, instance runs, etc)
- ideas
and otehr stuff. For that purpose this site+forum was created but it kinda fails badly cuz you don't check it regularly. Facebook (in addition that it doesn't unite all members) fails even worse cuz it offers no customisation at all, almost no colaboration tools, etc. Sure, I still will write you all urgent news on emaisl personally.
Wave would let us:
1. Finally elaborate guild rules (everyone feels too lazy to write/read full text) by adding small notes to project and finally planting a full workable vercion;
2. Share Screenshots and other graphics without need of any side hostings. Also everything will be in same place and followed by easy to add comments;
3. Share strategies and other guides easily. Well, it is easy on forum but you don't use it;
4. Plan events from same UI as other features (I also added calendar to site but you don't use it QQ. It's very crude though) and add comments on all dates, set postponing on the go;
5. Use Wave for audio conference. Sure not all of us use same messengers. We could use Skype, gTalk or special systems like Ventrillo. All would require some of members to install soemthing and run addition programms in background. Wave only asks for browser. You can think of other usage yourselves =) So I almost BEG for accepting my proposal. LEt's do it, Babies!
